My interest in developing games was triggered seven years ago, when I came in touch with 3D modeling tools like Maya and 3Ds Max. I was so intrigued by it that I decided to go studying an MBO Game Design at GLU Utrecht. I wanted to develop myself more, thus I continued studying a HBO Visual Arts study at NHTV Breda.
Now I have a professional understanding of PBR materials and textures, as do I have for traditional texturing methods. Substance Painter has been my favorite texturing tool since I discovered it when it first came out. I am still just as able to create good looking materials with Adobe Photoshop.
The first professional game engine I worked with was the Unity 3 engine, quickly after that Unity 4, Unity 5, UDK and Unreal Engine 4. I tend to quickly adjust using a new engine, however Unreal 4 has my preference.
I strive to find the most effective way to fulfil a task by working efficiently and therefore not wasting time. Besides that I always seek the right balance between the amount of assets I create, the speed at which I create them and the quality of these assets.
During the past four years I have been working on several group projects, for school and personal related matters. I like to actively participate in a team and I am not afraid to speak up when I feel that I have something to add that would benefit the team or project.
Interests and hobbies that I have besides art and games are music and the Djembé. I have been playing this beautiful instrument for over two years now and I will definitely keep expressing my musical talent this way. I also do this by paying visits to concerts. I've participated in martial arts like Jeet Kune Do and Eskrima and continue broadening my horizon in new and exciting ways.
